Study on the quality tests of domestic sewing thread

Abstract
|
|
|
This experimental work was carried out to determine the principal properties of domesticcl sewing threads used for producing wigs, bags, toys, shoes and gloves.
Number of specimens of the tested sewing threads was 25 by 7 different materials and cord count.
The test methods were provided for in the standards of the KS and the tested items were yarn count, tensile strength, elongation, twist, twist stability, coefficient of variation of tensile strength and twist, snarl number, and color fastness.
From the results, it was found that passed specimen in KS standard was only 56%
